Starting today, areeba, the regional payment infrastructure leader, will support Google Pay, enabling cardholders to take advantage of simple and secure contactless payments and digital card storage on both Android and WearOS devices. Google Pay is now available for all Visa and Mastercard cards processed through its platform.

This milestone enables banks and fintechs that partner with areeba, or are planning to launch new card programs, to offer their customers the ability to use Google Pay for contactless transactions in-store, online, and in-app, both locally and internationally. Cardholders can simply add their cards through the Google Wallet app and begin transacting instantly wherever contactless payments are accepted.

By enabling Google Pay, areeba allows card issuers to provide a seamless mobile payment experience powered by advanced security features like tokenization and fraud protection—bringing Lebanese users the same level of digital convenience enjoyed by consumers worldwide.
